For Ron Adams, form arises through the careful interplay of colour and geometry. His paintings explore these elemental forces through a visual language developed over many years, in which colour, shape and line are selected with deliberate, subjective intent. Painting becomes a way of processing and ordering the world around him: Adams filters the clutter and noise of contemporary life through reduction, breaking down familiar forms and reconstructing them with heightened chromatic intensity. A finalist in the 2026 Sulman Prize and the 2026 Grace Cossington Smith Prize, Adams has exhibited widely for more than two decades, with works held in Artbank Australia and the Sydney Town Hall Collection.
