Guy De Jong is a Belgian painter, sculptor, and muralist based in the Italian Alps. After training at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, De Jong spent decades travelling across Europe, producing distinctive works and large-scale murals, receiving awards, and presenting solo exhibitions.
Following four decades of artistic exploration, he retreated to a remote mountain village, dedicating himself to his practice in solitude. Working outside the mainstream, he has produced thousands of uncatalogued works. De Jong’s style is deeply personal and psychologically attuned—marked by spontaneous, painterly gestures and precise line work that navigate the space between abstraction and figuration. His emotionally raw compositions reflect the introspective gaze of an outsider looking inward.
