Trésor Murace
Afterglow presents a new body of airbrush paintings that examines the seductive power of images within contemporary visual culture. Drawing from popular culture, celebrity, advertising, and online imagery, Murace considers how visibility, idealisation, and digital aesthetics inform the construction of identity. Her luminous, highly saturated surfaces and distinctive use of sparkle heighten the familiar codes of glamour, performance, and self-presentation. Trésor Murace is a finalist in the Archibald Prize (2026) with a portrait of Fiona Lowry, as well as a finalist in the Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize and Burwood Art Prize. In 2025, she was a recipient of the Brett Whiteley Travelling Art Scholarship and the Eloise Morton Scholarship from the National Art School.
