Outsider Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition of ceramic sculptures by Australian artist Tahlia Undarlegt.

The exhibition traces how objects and places hold ancestral memory and spiritual charge. Formed from natural clay bodies, Undarlegt’s totemic figures consider how identity is shaped by what we inherit, what we remember, and where we stand.

Tahlia Undarlegt (b. 1992, Western Australia) is an artist based on Awabakal land, NSW. Working with ceramics, her practice is informed by her mixed European and Wongatha heritage and a personal journey of reconnection with her cultural roots. Undarlegt’s work is deeply intuitive, shaped by a hands-on approach to materials and a commitment to environmentally conscious methods. 

She holds a Diploma of Ceramics and an Award for Excellence in Ceramic Art from Newcastle Art School (2024). Undarlegt was a finalist in the 2024 Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize.
